Basic Life Support (BLS)

The Basic Life Support (BLS) Course equips you with essential life-saving skills to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies. Designed for non-medical personnel, this concise 2.5-hour course covers CPR for all age groups, proper use of an AED, managing anaphylaxis with an EpiPen, and responding to choking incidents.

For groups of 4 or more staff this course can be conducted at your practice.

Nurses and Vaccinators Resuscitation Course (Previously called level 4)

Suitable for:

  • All nursing staff
  • Pharmacy vaccinators

 

This comprehensive 4-hour, IMAC-approved course is designed to enhance your resuscitation skills. You'll gain essential knowledge and hands-on experience in CPR for all age groups, proper use of an AED, and advanced airway management techniques, including BVM, OPA, and LMA devices. The course covers management of anaphylaxis, including the correct use of an EpiPen, how to use adrenaline vials and its administration. as well as techniques for responding to choking emergencies. For groups of 4 or more staff this course can be conducted at your practice.

This thorough 4-hour, Dental Council-approved course can to be conducted conveniently at your practice for groups of 4 or more staff, ensuring you get the most out of your training experience. Throughout the course, you'll gain essential, practical knowledge in life-saving skills, including CPR for all age groups, proper use of an AED, and advanced airway management techniques such as BVM, OPA, and LMA applications. Additionally, you'll learn how to effectively handle anaphylaxis, including administering an EpiPen and preparing adrenaline, as well as managing choking emergencies.

This 4-hour course, is designed to enhance your resuscitation skills. You'll gain essential knowledge and hands-on experience in CPR for all age groups, proper use of an AED, and advanced airway management techniques, including BVM, OPA, and LMA devices. GP ACLS 6-hour Course -Assessed

 

This thorough 6-hour course is approved by the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners and builds upon the foundational skills of Basic Life Support (BLS). It covers advanced airway management techniques, including BVM, OPA, and LMA usage, as well as the management of anaphylaxis using EpiPens and adrenaline preparation. The course also addresses choking emergencies, hands-on group scenarios, and includes an assessment component. By the end of the course, you’ll be fully equipped and confident to handle real-life emergencies.

New Zealand Resuscitation Council CORE Advanced Rescuer Course 

This 8-hour course by the NZRC and builds upon the foundational skills of Basic Life Support (BLS). It covers advanced airway management techniques, including BVM, OPA, and LMA usage, as well as the management of anaphylaxis using EpiPens and adrenaline preparation. The course also addresses choking emergencies, hands-on group scenarios, a written assessment as well as a physical assessment component. This course meets accreditation for rural GP centers, Dentists providing sedation and acute walk in clinics.

This price includes the loan of the pre course reading book and NZRC certification documentation.

Heart Education provides specialized courses mainly for health professionals. These courses do not require NZQA accreditation.

Location

 

We provide training throughout the Central North Island, and for groups we’re happy to bring the training directly to you.

For individuals looking to join our courses, sessions are usually held at the Tauranga Hospital Education Center.
